Exhibition at the Shoah Memorial

Long taboo, the fate of the pink triangles, although it has been the subject of major historical research over the last thirty years, is still little known. Indeed, it was only with the gay and lesbian liberation movement of the 1970s that the subject began to be debated, raising numerous questions which constitute as many memorial issues: what was the nature of the persecutions? How many people were affected? Were all homosexuals targeted? What was the fate of lesbians? Which territories were affected by the repression, particularly in France? How can we honour the memory of the victims?
