Travelling: a history of the Jewish people

Article publié le 9 September 2021

An exhibition at the Jewish Museum of Girona on a journey of thirty-eight centuries, through various paths that border practically every corner of the world and span from 1730 A.D. to the present day. It is the story of a whole people, told through a thousand physical and social, political and conceptual paths. It is the story of the paths that the Jewish people has built over time, overcoming adversity and rewriting itself on the basis of shared experiences and a common memory that is fundamental, defining and identifying.

The roads are new, the shoes, bought yesterday, but the walk is old and inherited. Yehuda Amikhai
