The meeting-debate takes place in the framework of the international day dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust. A documentary is presented, telling the story of the Jewish refugees on the ship St. Louis who fled Germany in 1939 to North America. When they were not allowed to disembark at the various ports on the continent, the ship was sent back to Europe. More than a quarter of the passengers perished in Auschwitz.  The film contains rare footage and valuable testimonies from survivors who returned to the United States and continue to tell their stories. The evening will be attended by survivors of the ship and Robert Krakow, the director of the documentary.
