This exhibition is dedicated to the Ores family’s connection to Poland over three generations, particularly through photography. Beginning with Richard, who, as his daughter Michelle recounted, hid his photos from the Krakow ghetto in glass pickle cans. Deported to three different concentration camps, he was the only survivor of his family. While studying medicine in New York City, where he settled, he kept in touch with many friends in Krakow. He organized fundraisers for a clinic in his hometown and for the preservation of local Jewish cultural heritage. A strong bond perpetuated by his descendants.
