Organised by Aki Estamos and the Federation of Sephardic Associations of France, this year’s festival features a screening of Moisés Salama’s film No sea tu falta (2025), presented by Bella Cohen-Clougher, followed by a discussion with the director, Moisés Salama. The film recounts the director’s return to his past and the emotional transformations brought about by the passage of time, particularly in the city of Melilla where he grew up. This screening will be followed by a screening of the film by Lise Amselem and Pierre-Emmanuel Dersoir-Vermande, Haketía, haketía (2026), and a discussion with the directors. The film evokes, with nostalgia and emotion, the risk of the disappearance of Haketía, the Judeo-Spanish language of northern Morocco and Oran.
