Exhibition: Choosing Peace. The Struggle of Albert Kahn (1860–1940)

The exhibition pays tribute to the tireless efforts of the philanthropist Albert Kahn to promote access to knowledge, dialogue and understanding between peoples, with a view to contributing to lasting peace. Through a wealth of material, including photographs, films, contemporary artworks and archive material, visitors can follow Albert Kahn’s journey and explore the challenges of his era, notably the two world wars and his personal initiatives. Through a five-part chronological and thematic journey, the exhibition traces Albert Kahn’s life and sheds light on his commitment to peace within the historical context of 1870 to 1940.
