Thursday 20 August 2026 at the Manchester Jewish Museum

The public is invited to join in the fun at this cookery workshop, where you’ll learn how to make your own traditional braided cake, or ‘babka’! Discover the rich traditions behind this Ashkenazi Jewish speciality, whose origins date back to Poland and western Ukraine. Whilst the babkas are baking, you’ll explore stories from the museum’s collections.
