25 August 2026, from 4.30 pm to 6.00 pm at the Danish Jewish Museum
On this day, the museum is celebrating the launch of this fascinating book by Bent Blüdnikow, Jews in the Provinces: Brushwood weavers, bakers, rabbis, horse traders and soldiers. Readers will discover the remarkable life stories of Jews living in Danish provincial towns, who, until the mid-18th century, made up half of Denmark’s Jewish population. The author will be present for a discussion with the museum’s director, Janus Moller Jensen, and the day will be rounded off with a concert by Ayala Zimbler Hertz.
