As part of the upcoming Jewish festivals beginning in September, a workshop on the Jewish year is being offered for children aged 7 to 12. In a rather original way, the workshop will help them discover the connection between the Jewish calendar and the moon, and find out exactly when the Jewish New Year takes place, as well as what dishes are eaten at Hanukkah and when people fast. The five major Jewish festivals will be covered, and the children will make their own annual calendar.
