Polishing Memory: Public Cleaning and Guided Tour of Padua’s Stumbling Stones

From 20 September to 29 November 2026

As part of an initiative under the ‘City of Ideas 2026–2027’ project, supported by Padua City Council, a guided tour of the sites where these stones are located will be organised over three days. The aim of this collective effort is to clean the stones and share the stories of the victims of the Holocaust who are commemorated in this way.

Sunday, 20 September, 11:00 a.m. – Guided tour and collective cleaning of the Stumbling Stones on Via delle Piazze, Via San Martino e Solferino, Via dell’Arco, and Via dei Fabbri.

Sunday, 25 October, 11:00 a.m. – Guided tour and collective cleaning of the Stumbling Stones on Via Prati, Via Barbarigo, Via Roma, Via VIII Febbraio, Via Damiano Chiesa, and Piazza del Santo.

Sunday, 29 November, 11:00 a.m. – Guided tour and collective cleaning of the Stumbling Stones on Via Calatafimi and Via Petrarca.
