15 October at 6.30 pm at the IUMAT
The inaugural lecture of the 2026–2027 season at the Maimonides-Averroes-Thomas Aquinas University Institute pays tribute to the author and 1986 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Elie Wiesel. Ten years after his death, the IUMAT – which welcomed him twice to Montpellier (in 2003 and 2008) – is organising this event as part of a partnership with the Paris-based institute that bears his name. The event will be attended by Michaël Iancu, director of the Maimonides-Averroes-Thomas Aquinas University Institute; Sandrine Szwarc, teaching coordinator at the Elie Wiesel Institute; Alexis Lacroix, journalist; and Michaël de Saint-Chéron, journalist.
